Reading AuctionBytes: NRF Launches New Retail Conference

Two divisions of the National Retail Federation have created a new conference for retailers. The Retail Advertising & Marketing Association (RAMA) and Shop.org will kick off the Retail Innovation and Marketing Conference March 2-4, 2010 in San Francisco. The event will allow ecommerce executives to network with branding professionals and will provide educational opportunities in areas such as cross-channel strategies, new approaches to marketing, social media, and branding.

RAMA is a trade association of retail marketing and advertising professionals along with their counterparts on the agency, media and service-provider sides of the business, and Shop.org is composed of ecommerce retailers.

"By launching this event, NRF takes a leadership role in bringing eCommerce, marketing and technology retail executives together - critical retail disciplines that too frequently operate in silos," said Shop.org executive director Scott Silverman. "The Shop.org community is excited to bring together executives from these different sectors to discuss what has been learned so far, what we can do now, and what we should continue to focus on in the future."
