eBay is running a 2-week promotion through November 22, 2009 in which eligible sellers will receive 50% off Insertion Fees on auction listings in certain collectibles categories. Listings must be Auction-style format in one of the following categories: Art; Antiques; Dolls & Bears; Toys & Hobbies; Pottery & Glass; Collectibles; and Stamps.
As reported on the AuctionBytes Blog, the promotion kicks off eBay's plan to reinvigorate collectibles categories with a multi-faceted initiative running through the rest of this year and throughout 2010, including adding Item Specifics to certain collectibles categories.
To qualify for the promotion, sellers must have a 12-month Detailed Seller Rating of 4.5 or higher on all DSR criteria, based on the previous 12 months. When listing items using the Sell Your Item form, the promotional rate will apply after the first 5 free Auction-style listings, which incur higher commission fees.
