Reading AuctionBytes: Survey Asks ''Whose Customer Is It?'' on eBay, Amazon, Etsy & Bonanzle

AuctionBytes is conducting a survey of readers to find out what they think about customer acquisition on online marketplaces. Some marketplaces place restrictions on how merchants may market to buyers, and we asked Amazon.com, eBay, Bonanzle and Etsy about these restrictions. We are now surveying sellers to find out whom they believe customers belong to - the marketplace or the merchant.

AuctionBytes will publish the results of the survey in the November 15th issue of AuctionBytes-Update along with reactions from the marketplaces. The results will show whether marketplaces policies align with the views of online sellers, and whether sellers opinions differs depending on the marketplace.

Please visit the AuctionBytes survey on the SurveyMonkey website and answer four simple questions to give us a snapshot of what you think about, "whose customer is it"?
