Lorrie Norrington, President of eBay Marketplaces, has been named to the Board of Directors of McAfee Inc. Ms. Norrington, age 49, oversees a global ecommerce platform trading $60 billion worth of goods. Prior to joining eBay, she served as president and CEO of Shopping.com, an online shopping comparison site that was acquired by eBay in August 2005. Prior to that, Norrington served as executive vice president in the office of the CEO of Intuit Inc., and also include served in a variety of positions at General Electric Corporation.
Garnor Morantes, Senior Manager of Seller Development for eBay Marketplaces, is leaving eBay at the end of this week. Mr. Morantes is responsible for eBay's 10-year old "Voices of the Community" program, which was scaled down in August. A report has him going to Ning, the social networking platform co-founded by Mark Andreessen, who sits on eBay's Board of Directors.
