eBay announced the successful completion of click measurement accreditation by ImServices Group for its eBay AdCommerce advertising program for sellers, indicating eBay's full compliance with the Interactive Advertising Bureau's (IAB) Click Measurement Guidelines. The IAB guidelines provide a rigorous methodology to help companies define and measure valid clicks and eliminate fraudulent ones.
eBay is working with Click Forensics in an effort to filter out low-quality and invalid traffic, driving increased conversions and greater profits, according to the company.
Alexis Van De Wyer, director of advertising for eBay, said the accreditation demonstrates eBay's clear focus on transparency and accuracy for its advertisers.
In a recent interview with AuctionBytes, Mr. Van De Wyer said the eBay AdCommerce pay-per-click ads are currently displayed below the listings on the search results pages and revealed that eBay is also testing other possible placements to optimize the user experience.
