Late Monday night, an eBay user in the UK wrote on the discussion boards about a problem he was having with his mobile account. "Almost every-time I log-in to my Account using my Mobile phone I keep getting logged in to other peoples Accounts. From what I see I can bid/buy as well & this can fall in to the wrong hands. Anyone else had this problem?" A moderator for the company said eBay was investigating the problem and wrote:

I've been informed that we are aware of the experiences detailed above and are investigating the issue relating to WAP services where some members are being directed to other accounts after sign in. We are looking at this urgently and I'll post back with any updates as I get them.

The moderator later wrote, "The common factor so far seems to be Vodafone so we're working on nailing down the issue and will work with them if needs be."
