ArtFire.com announced it has crossed its one-millionth listing milestone, outpacing other artisan markets except Etsy.com. Each of the one million listings represents a unique item, many of which are handcrafted by the artisan seller.
In its first year, artisan sales on the site surpassed $1.5 million, and with more than 60,000 current active buyers and sellers, ArtFire said it expects to see even greater growth in 2010.
ArtFire.com COO Tony Ford said, "Reaching this milestone ensures the diversity and supply of our marketplace. These numbers indicate that our sellers had a good first year and wish to continue to do well by filling up their studios to provide the best possible shopping destination for buyers."
ArtFire allows sellers to set up fully customizable studio storefronts and offers a variety of selling tools to help members promote elsewhere on the web, including the Facebook Kiosk, Rapid Cart, and Coupon Code system.
