Etsy issued a report on the first month of meetings held with its Community Council. The first topic covered was seller tools, including batch editing tools and currency conversion tools. Etsy said it is creating a seller tools team focused just on building tools.
Policy enforcement was also discussed, and Etsy said it is creating multiple new positions to assist the Support team and is assembling a specific, multidisciplinary team called the SCRAM Team (Systems for Catching Resellers and Abusers of the Marketplace).
The third major topic was Checkout, with a general consensus that the Checkout interface should be easier for first-time Etsy buyers to understand.
This was Etsy's second council in which it meets with a group of 25 members on an ongoing basis for six months to discuss marketplace enhancements and community offerings.
The monthly meetings of the Community Council are held in the Virtual Lab at least once a month for a period of six months, and ongoing communications are facilitated through Google Groups.
