Bonanzle founder Bill Harding said he has plans to create a calendar to help shoppers find "live auctions" taking place on individual seller booths. While the introduction of an auction format is not on the product roadmap, he didn't rule it out entirely. Harding revealed these and other plans for Bonanzle during a podcast interview with AuctionBytes on Thursday.
Mr. Harding launched his site in 2008 and recently raised $1 million in funding. He talked about his philosophy for improving Bonanzle and about driving shoppers to the site, and said he wants data to guide his decision-making in the same way Google does when it makes improvements to its site.
Harding explains which site he most relates to, eBay, Craigslist or Etsy; discusses social networking sites such as Facebook and how Bonanzle fits into "social shopping"; and explains exactly where he expects to see Bonanzle in 12 months.
