Alibris and Bookbyte.com, a marketplace for used textbooks, have completed an integration project that enables Bookbyte to offer items for sale by the Alibris network of independent sellers.

The Bookbyte integration was completed using the Alibris E-commerce Integration Framework, a standardized XML-based technology that allows partners to access the Alibris seller network in highly flexible and scalable ways. The Alibris E-commerce Integration Framework allows partners to control the brand and customer experience, and therefore provides the partner's customers with a seamless website shopping experience, including integrated search, cart, and checkout processes.

Alibris recently partnered with Borders on its Textbook marketplace. Alibris merged with Monsoon, and it has established business partnerships with sites including Akademos; Better World Books; BookRenter; Buy.com; Chegg; Coutts; eBay; and Waterstone's.
