eBay UK's Community hub is getting a makeover on September 8, 2010. The new site will be integrated with social networking sites Facebook and Twitter, and the marketplace will reward users for helping others by answering questions in the Answer Center.
eBay UK's new Community hub will also include user generated video content where users can upload videos about trading on eBay. Other features include new discussion boards featuring the most popular topics members are talking about and new Groups functionality.
Threads and discussions older than 6 months will not be included on the new hub. According to the announcement, "If you wish to keep your personal threads, we suggest you archive this by cutting and pasting into a personal document." eBay also said it would only keep questions and answers from the last 3 years on the site.
eBay UK advised sellers to review recent changes made to its Boards and Groups policies.
