Do you remember the first item you ever sold online? Let us know by sending an email to ina@auctionbytes.com and we may publish your story. Today we hear about some adventures that newlyweds got into - one a newlywed buyer, the other selling to a newlywed!
I was a relative newbie to the auction front, but I frequented Ebay's wanted forum often. When I decided to try the site, I was a newlywed with little ebayable stuff. I did have, however, a large box full of stuffed pirahna fish that was an impulse buy of my new husband. We posted each on ebay figuring there would be a lot of chuckles. They all sold - all eleven of them. The average price was eight dollars each.

Hi Ina,
My first sale was a vintage Little Golden Book "Mickey Mouse's Birthday." The sale price, including shipping, was $5. The gal sent me a check. It bounced, and my bank submitted it three times for payment, and it bounced all three times. They charged me $20 every time it bounced. I called my buyer, and she and her hubby were newly weds and she had written me a check from her account. He had closed that account and merged it with his and had forgotten to tell her. It took some stern words at my bank to get them to waive the $60 in bounced check charges, and the buyer sent a new check, so all was good.
