Do you remember the first item you ever sold online? Let us know by sending an email to ina@auctionbytes.com and we may publish your story. Today we hear from Brigitte who found a perfect match between her love of thrift-store hunting and selling online.
I remember it very clearly. I've been thrift store hunting since I was 10 years old. (I'm 41 now) and I came across a beautiful Asian scarf that you could tell was of quality. This was in 1998. It was 25 cents. I knew I had a major deal here. I thought "I'm gonna give this ebay thing a try) so I did just that. I don't recall how I got it on there as I didn’t have a digital camera back then. I think I scanned it in from a Polaroid Anyway, it sold for about $25. That was it I was hooked. I've been selling ever since. My screen name on ebay is happy4123 and I've sold over 500 items thus far.
