Cherbear arrived from New Jersey Thursday. She and her son Brian were excited to be at the eBay Live event. They buy and sell on eBay, and have made many eBay friends over the years."I'm really excited to meet the Pinkliners and staff members. I'm looking forward to meeting friends and taking classes," Cherbear said.

Cherbear said she's already met some friends whom she had never met before in person. She had a vision of what she thought they would look like, and discovered she was pretty accurate. "I was happily surprised."

Michael Pascucci works in community development for eBay. He works with eBay members on the discussion boards and was excited about meeting people. "It's good to put a face to the IDs. You get to know them by their IDs," he said.

Pascucci said he hears stories about members who pick items up very inexpensively and turn around and sell them on eBay for lots of money. The eBay members also look out for each other, and some will even call eBay if they become concerned about someone who has suddenly disappeared from the boards.
