As a Buyer, when do you leave feedback?
When I receive item and am pleased.
Depends on the item. If it is a CD or DVD I don't leave feedback until it has been listened to or watched. Other items I leave when it is received.
When I receive the item IF the seller has left feedback for me
Not when I just receive it, but when I have checked the item over and know I am going to keep it.
i will usually leave feedback if the transaction goes smoothing after i receive the item..if it's been a rocky transaction ...i won't leave it until they leave it for me...and if they don't i don't...
when i receive the product. i've only left 1 neg. feedback because i never received the product 40 days later. book rate usps takes too long to get in under the 30 day feedback rule.
as a buyer ....I dont leave any feedback with a seller that has not acknowledged and said thank you with a positive feedback upon my prompt payment. If he doesnt then I am subject to retalliation feedback...so I just dont leave any in this situation...
only if they ask
When I receive the item AND if the seller has left feedback for me.
usually when I receive the item, unless it appears the seller doesn seem to leave much FB, then I wait.
When I have had a chance to review the purchased item.
When I receive the item, and only if I am completely satisfied with the transaction
Immediately after I rec item, and IF I am totally satified with the item. Ex.Received some porcelain bowls eBAY auction stated 6 bowls. I received 7 (3 were broken, 4 ok).I sent email to seller (3 times), no response.I left no feedback, should have left negative feedback, but fear retallation --just don't have time to do back and forth on this. Another time I bought some napkin rings. The seller lived near me. She charged me shipping and then showed up on my doorstep with a hand delivery of the item. I asked for refund on the shipping charges. She refused. I told her this was an invasion of my privacy. She said that she did not care, she was not making money on the napkin rings and deserved to keep shipping costs. I just let it go, too much to hassle --no time to hassle with this woman. However, WILL NEVER BUY FROM HER AGAIN. She was a new eBayer --also was doing eBay from her company computer which just happened to be a Law Office.
When I receive the item & ensure it's as described and without problems
When I receive the item & I'm satisfied with the product, shipping etc.
I leave feedback once I have recieved and checked out the item, like if it is a video I watch it before I leave feedback
If I am pleased with the item I usually leave feedback within a day or two of receiving the item. If there is a problem with the item, I leave feedback after the problem is resolved.
When I receive the item and feedback from the seller, both have to happen..
I used to always leave feedback as soon as I received the item, no matter if the seller left it or not. But reently I've stopped doing this unless the seller leaves it first. The reason is that sellers are starting to send emails after-auction stating that they will only leave FB when it's been left for them first. I won't play that. As a seller, I leave feedback when paid. As a buyer, I expect the same courtesy.
I leave feedback when I receive the item and generally can say that the transaction was an overall positive experience. If some part of the experience was not positive, I will just comment on the positive stuff. There are many times when I do not leave feedback because I was disappointed with the transaction. Because of the fear of retaliatory feedback, I have never left neg or neutral feedback for a seller EXCEPT in one instance. In this instance, the seller left me neutral feedback first because I had the nerve to complain to them about how an item was packed. Previous to this instance, when I was unhappy with a transaction, instead of leaving negative or neutral feedback, I would e-mail the seller telling them what I was unhappy with but telling them also that I wasn't going to leave them bad feedback. I thought they might appreciate the information on how to improve but obviously not! Now when I'm unhappy with a transaction, I don't do anything. I believe there are many people who behave like I do and therefore, the feedback system is something of a joke!
At the point I feel the transaction is completed.
when i have tested the item.
After I have received the item, if I like the entire transaction; item, seller, packing, etc.
If satisfied, promptly upon receiving the item. If not satisfied, I contact the seller first.
I buy very little if none at auction ONLY sell
When I receive the item, but ONLY if feedback has been left for me.
Usually after half.con or AZ sends me a reminder. Otherwise, not until seller leaves for me. (Yes, I understand the dichotomy)
