Anybody having problems with eBay UK, I've gotten some emails about technical issues, thanks.
"Perhaps you could raise a burning issue a number of powersellers are complaining about on the UK Powerseller boards with Ebay's head office, because we in the UK have no direct communications with Head Office.
Ebay UK seems to be in an awful technical mess at the moment, every other page seems to be "Page Not Responding" notice, when using Selling Manager/Pro data keeps going missing and then re-appearing, Paypal payments are not showing up in SMP, Paypal payments to sellers accounts are not showing as paid and as I write this at 11pm GMT Paypal is down.
As an example see http://forums.ebay.co.uk/thread.jspa?threadID=200272375&tstart=0&mod=1131403158339
We are getting little or no support from pinks, even then the replies seem to pass the buck : http://forums.ebay.co.uk/thread.jspa?threadID=200272182&tstart=0&mod=1131383748200
Does MEG and her team in Ivory Towers know what a mess the UK site is in when we are coming up to the main selling season ? I hope she does because when shareholders become aware of the dire state of Ebay UK questions will be asked."

Sporadic problems, yes and a few odd things - information not available , items/pages etc slow to update . Also turbolister still seems a little 'unstable'!

Over the last 2 or 3 weeks I have had problems getting on to MY EBAY -when I click on either a bookmark OR go from the main eBayUK page I get a message saying that this page cannot be accessed I had put it down to the fact that I am an Apple Mac user using SAFARI browser. After 3 or 4 attempts and a short wait than I usually get access _________________ Ina Steiner, AuctionBytes.com |

| I have problems with eBay UK on a daily basis - from pages not responding, to records going missing, to an inability to pay for an item bid on, slow loading [and I am on broadband and other sites have no problems loading whatsoever] - ready to go elsewhere, frankly. |

There is definitely a problem with Ebay US today. At one point Ebay "lost" 10 of my watched items and gave me a message about "possible missing data" for about an hour.
Finally I get the list back, go to the sellers item, and when I hit the BIN, I get a "item no longer in database" error. Tried this on several other identical items - same result. Went to another seller selling the same item - same result.
So I figure...I'll at least write the seller and let him know. Not gonna happen. Ebay says "form not available at this time".
Another problem I've noticed for the last several days - if you try to click on an item number as listed on the feedback pages, it goes off to never-never land - maybe comes back 5 mins later. But if you do a copy-paste the same item number into a regular ebay search, the item comes right up.
Been on ebay since '99 and have never had as many problems as I have had today. |

Confirming problems with doing eBay searches using FireFox - eBay UK defaults to "Completed Item" search and requires login (which doesn't work). Endlessly recycles the login page. Tried doing searches using Internet Explorer and Opera - both work as normal, so it's obviously an eBay code problem.
The above threads were deleted by eBay, however this thread is still active (as is the problem):
