In my recent efforts to list on Yahoo.com, I was advised....
" Unfortunately, you will not be able to participate in Yahoo! Auctions U.S. as a seller or bidder unless you have a U.S.-based credit card and have registered your account within the United States. However, you may choose to post your auctions on one of the Yahoo! international sites...
• Canada • China • Hong Kong • Japan • Singapore • Taiwan "
I am based in Australia, the product is shipped ex US and some ex Australia. Is there any way around this or is this just the way it is ?
I am confused, I thought online auctions were international. _________________ wildlyorganic |

No way around it that I can find. I'm in Canada and I want to use my Auction Management System to list on .com. That is the only one they support. No go. The best I can do is list to Yahoo.ca using their tools which does no good as I need inventory control.
I've been chasing my tail on this for a month now and the only thing I can do is get a U.S. address and U.S credit card to remedy the problem. Period.
I'm a little choked by it all so I've just left the whole thing sitting there. At least you got an answer. Nobody could tell me what the problem was. I got a clue from one of the boards. Once again the earth revolves around the U.S. _________________ Faucet Fashions

Thanks for the help - I am real new to OLA industry and just trying to get a handle on it ! I just had to shake my head on the rest of the Yahoo reply, which was...
"We appreciate your inquiry. At the present time, we do not have
statistics available on the number of daily visitors to Yahoo! Auctions or the number of daily transactions. "
Yeah right !
I understand your sentiments on the US., it's the culture of the times. Anyway, no use griping, the future will only bring more change in the OLA industry with regards to this, just happy that I've understood the situation correctly and that there really isn't any other way around it.
Moving onto Yahoo.ca - do you find it effective ? I see this as my next best option.
Thanks again. _________________ wildlyorganic |

I haven't listed anything with them so I can't be of any help to you there. Hopefully someone will come by who has. Good luck. _________________ Faucet Fashions
