Auction Sites Love the Euro
By Ina Steiner

December 12, 2001

Wired magazine says the Euro, the new European-wide currency, will be good for auction sites in Europe. "Common cash" may encourage buyers to purchase from sites in other countries without worrying about exchanging currencies. The article mentions that eBay recently raised listing fees in Germany and may introduce listing fees next year for its newer European sites, including France, Italy and the Netherlands. http://www.wired.com/news/ebiz/0,1272,49048,00.html
